The details of this 1st Communion medal are really elaborate its oval shape is formed by natural shapes interpreted in the curvilinear Art Nouveau style, symbols such as sheathes of wheat, lilies, and grapevines. Engraved on the back in a lovely script are the initials and date of the past recipient ‘H.G. 5th Aout (August) 1900’. This antique Art Nouveau French Holy Communion pendant measures 1" wide x 1 1/4" long. Ref. 1212N
