This antique French four way cross medal was made to commemorate the Centenial of the apparition of Mother Mary at Lourdes France. It is an antique French medal and it does have light wear and a darker patina. You see four different image on the front; at the top is sweet Saint Bernadette, on the right Massabielle the grotto of the apparitions, on the left the Sanctuary and at the bottom is the Mother Mary with the words "Je Suis L'Immaculee Conception' arched over her. Engraved on the reverse is 1858 - Centenaire des Appaaritions Lourdes - 1958 - France. This Lourdes Souvenir will make a lovely Catholic Gift. Ref. 1213D
