The details on this antique miraculous medal make it a beautiful piece of Catholic jewelry! It could be worn as a pendant or charm.  This pretty Christian pendant is in excellent condition and measures; 1-1/4" long x 3/4" wide. In the third photo you see ‘FRANCE’ on the bale. Virgin Mary is beautifully delineated on the front, around her the words 'O Marie concue sans peche priez pour nous qui avons recourse a vous" (O Mary conceived without sin pray for us who have recourse to thee) The reverse of this patron saint medal has 12 stars which refer to the Apostles, The cross can symbolize Christ and our redemption, with the bar under the cross a sign of the earth. The “M” stands for Mary, and the interleaving of her initial and the cross shows Mary’s close involvement with Jesus and our world. In this we see Mary’s part in our salvation and her role as mother of the Church. Ref. rm1282
