$18.00

Let me select 4 beautiful fruit wood bobbins (fuseau) for you!  They are all a lovely turned fruit that has gained a superb smooth patina from their years of use. Have you ever wondered how lace was made? Well, it is with lovely hand turned French bobbins like these. Of course, to make lace you need many many more as you can see in the video below ( such fun to watch ).

Several years ago I found this group of antique fuseaux at a French brocante in the northwest part of the country, they are circa 1890 and certainly are nifty conversation pieces! Approximate size is - 4.25" long. ⚜️Have a look at someone making lace using this kind of bobbin on YouTube.
